Teamwork in one app

One Hub for Your Whole Business

Microsoft Teams is far more than a video call tool. Set up well, it is where your staff chat, meet, share files and take calls on your business numbers, at the office, at home or on the train to London.

When anyone can create a team, you end up with three called Sales, guests who kept access and calls that ring the wrong person or nobody at all.

We structure your channels, set guest rules, connect calling and configure meeting rooms, so Teams stays simple to use.

Teams features

Everything Your Team Needs to Work Together

We set up and support every part of Microsoft Teams and the admin settings behind it, from channels to calling.

  • Teams and channels

We plan which teams and channels you need and who owns each one, then set naming rules, expiry for unused teams and retention policies.

  • Guest access

We agree who can invite guests, which teams they join and what they can open, and review guest accounts on a regular schedule.

  • Teams calling

We port your 0118 numbers into Teams, so staff make and take calls on a laptop or mobile, and callers still dial the same numbers as before.

  • Shared files

We set permissions on each team's SharePoint site and show staff where files live, so the right people work on the right documents.

Teams Phone

Turn Teams Into Your Business Phone System

With Teams Phone, calls sit alongside chat and meetings in the same app. Staff who spend two days in London answer their office number at home, on the platform or at a client site, and callers dial the numbers they know.

We handle number porting, call routing and handsets, and if Teams calling is not the right fit, we can recommend a 3CX phone system or cloud VoIP instead.

  • Keep your existing 0118 numbers
  • Auto attendants and call queues by team
  • Headsets and desk phones built for Teams
  • One setup across Reading, Wokingham and Theale offices
  • Copper lines moved before January 2027
  • Teams Rooms kit from huddle rooms to boardrooms

Getting started

How We Roll Out Microsoft Teams

A good Teams rollout is about people as much as technology. We follow four clear steps to get your Reading team working confidently.

  1. Review how you work

We look at your current teams, licences, phone lines, numbers and meeting rooms, and note what to keep.

  2. Plan and quote

You get a written plan covering team structure, call flows, room kit and licences, with a fixed quote.

  3. Set up and port

We configure Teams, build call queues, install room kit and port your numbers on an agreed date.

  4. Train and support

Staff get short training sessions, and our helpdesk handles Teams questions and changes.

Frequently asked questions

Microsoft Teams Questions From Reading Businesses

What does Teams support include?

We structure your channels, set guest rules, connect calling and configure meeting rooms, then run training and a helpdesk for Teams questions so it keeps working for your staff.

What licences do we need for Teams Phone?

Each user needs a Microsoft 365 or Teams licence, plus a Teams Phone licence for external calls. Some plans already include Teams Phone, so we check your licences before we quote.

Can Teams replace our phone system?

Yes. Teams calling puts your phone line inside Teams, so chat, meetings and calls share one app. It suits firms whose staff already work in Teams all day, and we can quote a separate cloud phone system too.

Can we keep our 0118 numbers if we move calls to Teams?

Yes. We port your 0118 numbers, so customers keep dialling the same numbers they already know.

How do you control guests?

We agree a policy first: who can invite guests, which teams allow them and what they can open. We apply it across Teams and SharePoint and review guest accounts so former contractors lose access.

Our Teams has become messy. Can you help?

Yes. When anyone can create a team, duplicates pile up. We archive dead teams, merge duplicates, remove guests nobody needs and set rules for creating new teams.

Does the copper switch-off affect us?

Only for services still on copper. Openreach plans to close the analogue network by January 2027, and moving numbers into Teams removes that.

Can you set up meeting rooms here?

Yes. We recommend Teams Rooms kit for the room size, then install, configure and test it with your staff, and monitor the devices once they are in use.
